Over 114,000 people have signed a White House demanding Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who celebrated being sworn into to Congress screaming expletive-laced remarks about impeaching President Trump, to be removed from her position as a member of Congress on account of her behavior.
The petition, which is located on the official White House website, warns Tlaib is a “national security threat”:
WE THE PEOPLE ASK THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO CALL ON CONGRESS TO ACT ON AN ISSUE:
The removal of Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) from office, due to inappropriate and unstable actions becoming of a congresswoman.
Created by R.L. on January 04, 2019″
Do to Rashida Tlaib actions and profanity, she is unfit to be a congresswoman. Her rude display and lack of respect for our sitting President was uncalled for. Her immediate removal from her seat is just and warranted. Due to her hatred towards our president, I feel she is a national security threat.
At the time of this publication, the appeal had amassed 114,322 digital signatures.
Any petition that reaches 100,000 signatures will warrant a response from the White House, the page states.
Last Thursday, after Tlaib took her oath of office on a Koran and she was sworn into the 116th Congress, she was videotaped telling her supporters that she is committed to keeping the promise she made to her 11-year old son to remove the president from office.
“People love you and you win,” the freshman congresswoman told her supporters. “When your son looks at you and says, ‘Momma, look you won. Bullies don’t win.’ And I said, ‘Baby, they don’t, because we’re gonna go in there and we’re gonna impeach the motherf***er.,”

Trump responded to her remarks, labeling them “disgraceful” and ones that both “dishonored herself and dishonored her family,” prompting Tlaib to double down on threats of impeachment.
A day after calling the president a “motherf**cker,” she claimed Trump “has met his match” and “he’s just going to have to deal with it.”
Trump is “violating our Constitution” and he “needs to fully go through the impeachment process,” Tlaib told WDIV Local 4 in Detroit, adding that she is not going to stop being “real.”

“I stand by impeaching the president of the United States. I ran on that,” she said. “I very much hold dearly that I want to impeach this president.”
Tlaib, who is celebrated by Democrats as one of the two first Muslim women in Congress, attended her swearing-in accompanied by radical Linda Sarsour, the Women’s March leader who has come under fire for antisemitic comments and for her organization’s ties to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.
In 2016, Tlaib interrupted Trump’s speech at the Detroit Economic Forum and then fought with security guards.
